Thought we would share how much we're enjoying the wonderful Southern California sunshine!! We are living in Carlsbad, CA in the part of town called Carlsbad Village. We are 1/2 mile from the water and walking distance to just about everything we need. There are shops and restaurants galore. They have a farmer's market every Wednesday, not large but cute. We normally take a stroll or jog on the beach 4-6 days a week. We are trying to get up earlier to enjoy some morning beach time but it's been difficult for me :)
We are trying to get out and explore some of the surrounding area, mostly when I arrived b/c she had some time off work. Up in Oceanside is a long pier that is nice to walk out on. We hiked over at Torrey Pines as well. It was fun b/c you start inland a little on the hike and end up on the beach if you. It was warm that day so walking along the water was a cool retreat.
I'm still searching for employment but optimist something will present itself soon. We miss you all and wish you the best. Hoping to make it back for Thanksgiving this year with everyone. Will keep you updated. Thank you for all your support in our adventures and moving across the country back and forth. This is an exciting time for us and happy we can share it with everyone.
